Taught by Joyce Bourdon, Next Generation is the newest in RM Easiteach software! The course dates are June 24 – June 28, 2013 (including a follow up independent session VI) with meeting time from 8:00 to 1:00 at Center School in Mattapoisett. This course is qualified for Inservice Credit and Supermax. You may also purchase 3 graduate credits through Cambridge College for this course for $150.00. All forms will be filled out on the first session of the class. Please bring a check or credit card on the first meeting if you are taking the course for credit. The purpose of this course is to set up and troubleshoot Polyvision Interactive Whiteboard, to gain working knowledge of the three levels of IWB use in the classroom, to become fluent in use of Next Generation software, and prepare and post lessons using IWB and Next Generation software.
This course will be interactive in nature with students (teachers) viewing demonstrations of the three levels of board use as well as participating in using each level during class breakout sessions. The follow-up assignments will be based on skills learned and will be presented the following session. All assignments will be posted in a ‘drop box’ to be shared with other colleagues. Students will attend class sessions, access help sessions running after class each session as needed, participate in lesson activities, and prepare lessons to use IWB in their classrooms. Students will also be expected to set up and troubleshoot Interactive Whiteboard as issues arise.
